  • Breast Milk Storage Fridge & Freezer System

Fridge bags for today. A freezer system for everything that comes next.

Every bag in your freezer is hours of your life.

You pumped it at 3am with your eyes half closed. Then it got wedged behind the frozen peas, the date rubbed off, and now you're standing at the freezer wondering if it's still OK to use.

That's not you being disorganised. Most freezers just aren't set up for a milk stash.

The Nella Vosk Breast Milk Storage System works across your fridge and your freezer, built around how pumping actually works day to day.

    • For the fridge: two 320ml reusable silicone bags for the milk you'll use in the next day or two.

    • For the freezer: 30 temperature-sensing breast milk storage bags that freeze flat on the stainless steel tray, then slide into the organiser.

    • Oldest milk first, automatically: new bags go in the top, the oldest comes out the bottom. No digging. No guessing.

    • The rules, right on your fridge door: a magnet with the Australian Breastfeeding Association's breast milk storage guidelines, so you never have to google it mid-feed.

Every piece works together, so your breastmilk stays organised from the first pump to the last thaw.

Created by Kelly Northey, Certified Postpartum Nutrition Professional and founder of Nella Vosk.

You worked hard for every drop. Give it a proper home.

    The Nella Vosk Difference

Two jobs, two tools. Most storage products give you bags, or an organiser. This system covers both moments: reusable bags for the milk you're using today, flat-freeze bags and an organiser for the stash you're building. Use your reusable bags for the day. Use your freezer system for everything that comes next.

Oldest first, built in. The Australian Breastfeeding Association recommends dating every bag and using the oldest milk first. The organiser does the rotating for you, so nothing gets forgotten at the back.

Flat bags, tidy freezer. Milk frozen flat stacks neatly, takes up less space and thaws faster than a lumpy bag frozen on its side.

A temperature check you can see. Each freezer bag has a colour-change strip that gives you a quick visual guide while you're warming milk, so you're not guessing at 2am.

Made by a mum who's qualified to help. Kelly Northey is a Certified Postpartum Nutrition Professional. The QR code on your magnet links to her free Breastfeeding Nutrition Assessment, for when you want support that goes beyond the storage bag.

    Who's it For?

    Made for you if...

    • You're building a freezer stash and you're tired of bags sliding around, freezing in odd shapes or getting lost at the back.
    • You're heading back to work and need a system simple enough that whoever is caring for your baby can grab the right bag without texting you.
    • You exclusively pump or combination feed, so milk storage is part of every single day.
    • Your partner or family help with feeds. The oldest milk comes out the bottom and the storage times are on the fridge door, so nobody has to guess.
    • You've ever poured milk down the sink because you couldn't tell how old it was. Once is enough.
    • You're buying for a new mum who's pumping. It's practical, it arrives gift-boxed, and she'll use it every day.

Only expressing now and then? Start with the Reusable Breast Milk Storage Bags for the fridge, and add the full system when your stash starts to grow.

    FAQs

How does the oldest-first organiser work?

Freeze each bag flat on the tray, then load it into the top of the organiser. When you need milk, take the bag from the bottom. That's always your oldest milk, so your stash rotates itself.

Why are there two kinds of bags?

They do different jobs. The 320ml reusable silicone bags are for the fridge and the milk you'll use soon. They're not designed to fit the organiser. The temperature-sensing bags freeze flat and slide into the organiser for longer-term storage. If you're weighing up the two, our guide to reusable vs single-use breast milk storage bags walks through the pros and cons.

How long can breast milk stay in the fridge or freezer?

According to the Australian Breastfeeding Association: up to 72 hours in the back of the fridge, 2 weeks in a freezer compartment inside the fridge, 3 months in a fridge-freezer with a separate door, and 6 to 12 months in a deep freezer at −20°C. These times are printed on your magnet. Read our full Australian breast milk storage guide for room temperature, thawing and travel.

How do I thaw and warm frozen milk?

Thaw overnight in the fridge or under warm running water. Never use the microwave. Once thawed, use within 24 hours and don't refreeze. Here's our step-by-step on how to thaw and warm breast milk safely.

How much milk should I keep in my freezer stash?

Less than you might think, especially if you're not going back to work soon. We break down the numbers in Breast Milk Freezer Stash: How Much to Store.

Will it fit in my freezer?

The organiser measures 20.5 × 16.5 × 12 cm and fits most standard freezer drawers and shelves. Measure your space if you have a compact freezer.

Does it make a good gift?

Yes. It arrives in a gift-ready box and it's one of the most practical things you can give a mum who's pumping. Browse more gifts for new mums.
