    Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Nourish Mama range is formulated specifically for breastfeeding mothers using organic, whole-food ingredients.

The cacao contains a small amount of natural caffeine and theobromine, which is safe at normal serving sizes within the recommended daily limit of 300mg caffeine for breastfeeding mothers.

The Nourish Mama range includes ingredients with traditional and emerging evidence for lactogenic support — including millet flour and maca.

These work best as part of a broader approach to supply, including feeding or pumping frequency and overall nutrition. For more, see our guide on foods to increase breast milk supply.

Yes. The Nourish Mama range uses organic coconut milk powder — there is no dairy of any kind in the formulation. It is safe for mothers on a dairy elimination diet for CMPA. Note: the Choc Mint variant contains tree nuts (cashew, hazelnut, almond).

If tree nut allergy is a concern, choose Original or Chai Spice.

Brewer's yeast is a yeast-based ingredient associated with candida overgrowth, particularly in the postpartum period when hormonal changes, antibiotic use, and disrupted gut flora increase susceptibility to thrush.

Thrush is painful and disruptive to breastfeeding. Our decision to exclude brewer's yeast from all Nella Vosk products is deliberate.

The peppermint in the Choc Mint variant is at culinary levels — similar to a cup of peppermint tea. Large amounts of concentrated peppermint oil may affect supply, but this quantity is not associated with supply reduction.

If you have significant supply concerns, the Original or Chai Spice variants contain the same core formula without peppermint.
