    Who It's For

These lactation bliss balls are made for you if:

→ You're breastfeeding and want a quick, wholesome snack you can prep in advance and grab between feeds

→ You're looking for a lactation cookie alternative that doesn't require baking

→ You want to batch-prep snacks during pregnancy and have them ready for the fourth trimester

→ You're dairy-free, nut-free, or egg-free and struggle to find a breastfeeding snack that works for your dietary needs

→ You want a practical, thoughtful gift for a new mum — something she can make quickly and actually use

Not right for you if you have coeliac disease or oat intolerance — these contain oats.

    How to Use

    The recipe:

Add: 1 avocado + 2 tbsp coconut oil + 4 tbsp maple syrup. Mix wet and dry ingredients together, then roll into balls. (If the mixture seems too dry, add a little extra coconut oil.)

Refrigerate for up to 3 months, or freeze for up to 3 months.

Step 1 — Prep: Measure your wet ingredients — 1 ripe avocado, 2 tbsp coconut oil, and 4 tbsp maple syrup.

Step 2 — Mix: Combine the premix with your wet ingredients and stir until fully combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a little extra coconut oil one teaspoon at a time.

Step 3 — Roll & refrigerate: Roll into 20 balls and place in an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before eating. Store in the fridge for up to 3 months, or freeze for longer.

Tip: Make a double batch and freeze half — they defrost quickly and are perfect to have on hand in the early postpartum weeks when cooking is the last thing on your mind.

When to start: Suitable from around 36 weeks pregnant as a nourishing batch-prep snack, or any time during breastfeeding.

Results: Every mum is different. Many notice feeling more nourished and sustained between feeds when they have consistent, wholesome snacks on hand. Results may vary.

    FAQs

Q: Do I need to bake these?
No — that's the whole point. This is a no-bake premix. Just mix the dry premix with 1 avocado, 2 tbsp coconut oil, and 4 tbsp maple syrup, roll into balls, and refrigerate. A full batch of 20 is ready in under
10 minutes. No oven, no mess, no waiting.

Q: How many bliss balls does one pack make?
Each 275g pack makes approximately 20 bliss balls. They store in the fridge for up to 3 months, or can be frozen for longer — making them perfect for batch-prepping ahead of your due date.

Q: Do lactation bliss balls actually help with milk supply?
These bliss balls are formulated with organic oats and linseed — reputed galactagogues traditionally used by breastfeeding mothers for centuries. Many mums find that having consistent, nourishing whole-food
snacks on hand helps them feel more supported through the day. Pair with regular feeding or pumping and good hydration for best results. Results may vary.

    Q: Are these suitable if I'm dairy-free or nut-free?
Yes — the premix is dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, and vegan. One important note: these do contain oats (gluten), so they're not suitable for anyone with coeliac disease or oat intolerance. The wet ingredients
you add at home (avocado, coconut oil, maple syrup) are also naturally free from common allergens.

Q: Can I make these during pregnancy?
Yes — many mums batch-prep a big supply in the final weeks of pregnancy so they have nourishing snacks ready and waiting for the fourth trimester. All ingredients are natural whole foods. We always
recommend checking with your healthcare provider before adding any new food product during pregnancy, particularly if you have dietary restrictions or health conditions.

Q: How long do they keep?
Stored in an airtight container in the fridge, they keep for up to 3 months. They're also freezer-friendly — freeze in a single layer then transfer to a container. They defrost quickly at room temperature or overnight in the fridge.

Q: Can I customise the recipe?
Absolutely. The premix is the base — you can adjust the sweetness by varying the maple syrup, or swap coconut oil for another liquid fat if needed.

Some mums also roll them in shredded coconut or cacao powder for extra texture. If the mixture is too dry, add coconut oil a teaspoon at a time until it comes together.

Q: Is this a good gift for a new mum?
One of our most practical gifts — because it's something she'll genuinely use. No cooking required, ready in minutes, and delicious enough for the whole household. Pair with the Choc Chip Lactation Cookies or Lactation Hot Chocolate for a complete postpartum nourishment gift.
